Comments:

I have been a teacher, counselor and principal since college. This included teaching in Athens, GREECE for two years. Mary and I raised six children. In 2007 when I retired we moved back to the Delta/Liberty Center area since Mary's family is from that area. One of our sons and his family lives in the family home (4th generation). The elementary principal position in Liberty Center came open so retirement was short. It was fun, but I have now retired (2013) for good...I think.

My wife, Mary, died of complications during COVID in 2011. We had 52 years together. Unexpectedly, I found love again and on 9-9-23 married again and starting a new chapter. Remember, my friends, each day is a gift. Don't waste it on dumb stuff. Cherish the memories but use today to make new ones.

School Story:

I remember all the colorful sayings that our math teacher, E. J. Eller, used to make math interesting. I know I collected all of them in a notebook along with how many times he used each one and then produced a newspaper titled, "The E. J. Replay". All of our math class signed it and presented it to him the last day of our senior year. Somewhere in all my stuff I wonder if I still have a copy. If I can just "picture it in my mind's eye..."

I was also part of the "fishing club". We never went fishing but had a lot of fun activities...like the trike race during BB half time and the basketball dribble to Bowsher. Slap on some waders, hats with hooks, and other garb and we were ready to go!
